Privacy Policy For QR-Nextgen

Last Updated: February 6, 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how QR-NextGen, a mobile application operated by Quietiq Inc. (“Quietiq,” “We,” “Us,” or “Our”), collects, uses, processes, and protects information when you (“You” or “User”) use the QR-NextGen mobile application (the “Service”).

Quietiq Inc. is the data controller for purposes of applicable data protection laws.

QR-NextGen is designed as a local-first and privacy-conscious application, meaning its core scanning and QR generation functionality occurs entirely on your device.

By using the Service, You agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

QR-NextGen is designed to minimize data collection.

2.1 Information Processed Locally (Not Collected by Quietiq)

The following data is processed entirely on your device and is not collected, stored, or transmitted to Quietiq servers:

  • Barcode scan values

  • QR code contents

  • Camera scan frames

  • Imported Excel or document data

  • Generated QR codes

  • Exported files (PDF, PNG, etc.)

Camera data is processed in real time and discarded immediately after recognition.

Quietiq does not automatically upload, store, or access this content.

2.2 Limited Technical & Usage Data

QR-NextGen uses trusted third-party service providers to collect limited technical information for analytics, crash diagnostics, and advertising functionality.

This may include:

  • Device model and operating system version

  • App interaction events

  • Crash logs and diagnostics

  • Advertising identifiers

  • App Instance ID

This data is collected via:

  • Google Firebase Analytics

  • Firebase Crashlytics

  • Google AdMob

We do not collect:

  • QR or barcode contents

  • Camera images

  • Exported files

  • Payment card information

  • Contacts

  • Location data

Analytics Control

Users may disable analytics collection within the app’s Privacy settings.
When disabled, Firebase Analytics data collection is turned off on the device.

Crash reporting may still operate to ensure app stability and security.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (EEA / UK Users)

For users located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, we process limited technical data under:

  • Legitimate interests — for maintaining, improving, securing, and debugging the Service

  • User consent, where required (e.g., advertising personalization in supported regions)

4. Advertising

QR-NextGen displays banner and interstitial advertisements through Google AdMob.

Interstitial ads may appear at natural transition points within the app. Advertisements do not access QR content or scanned data.

AdMob may collect:

  • Advertising ID

  • Device identifiers

  • Ad interaction data

Advertising identifiers can be reset or limited via your device settings.

Users may purchase a one-time “Remove Ads” feature through Google Play. When activated, advertisements are disabled within the app.

The presence of advertising SDK components may remain for technical compatibility, even when ads are disabled.

5. In-App Purchases

All purchases are processed exclusively by Google Play Billing.

Quietiq does not:

  • Store payment card details

  • Process payment information

  • Retain financial account data

To validate entitlement for the “Remove Ads” feature, QR-NextGen may transmit limited purchase metadata (such as product ID, package name, and purchase token) to a Quietiq verification server for server-side validation.

No payment card data is transmitted or stored by Quietiq.

Google’s Privacy Policy governs billing and financial data processing.

6. Data Sharing

We share limited technical data only with:

  • Google Firebase (analytics & crash reporting)

  • Google AdMob (advertising services)

  • Google Play Billing (purchase processing and verification)

These providers act as service providers under applicable data protection laws.

Quietiq does not sell or share personal information as defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA).

7. Data Retention

User-generated QR content remains on your device unless you choose to delete it.

Analytics and diagnostic data retention periods are governed by Google’s data retention policies.

8. International Data Transfers

Service providers may process data in jurisdictions outside your country of residence, including the United States.

Appropriate safeguards are applied consistent with applicable law.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access personal data

  • Request correction or deletion

  • Object to processing

  • Withdraw consent

  • Request data portability

Because most QR-NextGen data is stored locally, deletion can be performed directly on your device.

For analytics-related requests or inquiries, contact us at the email below.

10. Children’s Privacy

QR-NextGen is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction).

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

11. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information.

However, no digital system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.

When changes are made, the “Last Updated” date will be revised.

Continued use of the Service after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
